Mate, I think you got the Pot system for the new UCL wrong. Each team will play 2 matches against teams in different pots, which means all the big matches will still happen in the knockout phase. This format will only increase the number of UCL matches that are played, to increase TV and Sponsorship money for UEFA. This is only going to become more burdensome on the players and we will keep seeing more injuries. First they remove the away goals, and now this, all they are concerned about is money and not the sport.

The problem is the English media, while they're calling crystal palace brave and bold for sacking their dying manager who's only 8 points behind us btw, while they're doing that they're putting all of Chelsea's blame on owners and players and saying poch needs support and time and the problem is the owners are listening to them and those idiots in our fan base who think poch is some amazing guy who's gonna turn this around.

Petr Cech saw the writing on the wall and didn’t want any part of mediocrity. A champion can sniff out smoke from a distance!
As for the UEFA new format..looks like Clearwater and Eghbali mentality and want to reward mediocrity and can no longer call it the Champions League!!!

I agree with CL thoughts…however it's possible Chelsea not making it into CL (or Europe in general) may cause this ownership to consider joining Super League the next time the proposal does the rounds next year. CFC will need the money and just like the U.S.A. summer tour, Super League will be "a new opportunity to reach out to new fans and introduce CFC to a new fan base" or whatever bullocks terminology is used.

Whilst I agree with you, why are they spending billions on the best young talents just to land midtable? Surely they're spending all that money to win but I think they've got their model all wrong

That is why we must continue to push the manager who responsible for carrying out this project and not despairing ourselves to the situation.
When none's sane enough to take risks, the decision makers will only realize the ridiculous of their unreasonable projects.
From our current condition, even a professional footballer should be wary of projects that rely on ongoing falsehoods. Just moving from promises to excuses
Like what I said long before, the only thing's right and remain for now is the fans

It's not surprising that currently the owners are trying to do what they did before with the staff, but we are the ones they are targeting now
We cannot remain silent, we shouldn't. There is enough false propaganda scattered everywhere.

Align with like minded people. That's why Lampard, Potter, Pochettino took the job. Immediate results not required. Gradual progress each year. Long term net worth coupled with quick, profitable buy and sale of players. A multi club youth business plan to corner the market. Eventually competive to win trophies – Charity Shield, EFL, EPL, FA, CL, Europa, Europa Conference, Club World Cup.

Mourinho, Sarri, Conte, Tuchel will want no part of this. You cannot immediately compete for top honors. Being #1 is paramount. Czech well knows how hard it is to win key tournaments. He appreciates how difficult it is for academy or youth players to graduate to regular first team football in a highly competitive environment. Even great managers with a seasoned team go through trying drought periods.

The PL has some of the highest standards: owners, revenue, coaches, players, pace, skill, "wow acumen factor". On average foreign players take 6 to 12 months to adjust. Language, food, culture, foreign country – estranged from family & friends, religion. Entrapments of a pro soccer player.

There are several ownership models in the PL: Manchester City – State owned, best coach/players/facilities ( world class stadium & training). Newcastle: where each year the team progressively improves with decent investments. Liverpool: World class, search for competitively priced players and develop them. Manchester United: Until recently, where the Glazers were running the team and facilities into the ground. Tottenham: Tight on budget, competitive, profitable. Arsenal: Slowly emulating the MC/Liv/Tot concept but on a tighter budget. Now we have the modern day CFC.

I don't like the new format but Younes you got it wrong, the 8 games are played with 2 teams from each pot, so 2 from pot 1 etc so a team from pot 1 will get to play to teams in pot2

  9. @samurai_panda

I think you are too rush to hate the new format. I really really like it. I think it will be much more exciting, it preserves sporting merit, it makes every game impactful. My only concern is that it is too much football for the players. I am excited for the new format

But Younes why dont u understand we still have matches like bayern v/s Man Utd in 1 group and copenhagen v/s galatasaray in the same group happening at the same time. then noone complains wether who would watch the later matches. So having similar matches in the new UCL is the exact same as that. only downside is for maybe players will be playing 2 more matches but thats it mate….what are your thoughts on it @YounesTalksFootball.

  11. @ogcfc3592

Younes I get your concerns with the club, we made some stupid and horrible mistakes, but I think we cant get any lower than we are currently right now, maybe I am sounding to optimistic, but I know we are chelsea and we will rise again, transitions are never easy, but we will get through it and we will see better days

  12. @Yared100

Bro stop with the nonsense about cech…cfc fans are new to losing thats why all of a sudden cfc fans talk about directors…you want cech a guy with no experience the one thing fans cry about all day…when emenalo a glorified scout became sporting director nonody complained he aint had no experience either…the only reason the directors are getting blame is mainly poch remember last yr enzo looked better why??? its obvious joao felix was our #10 not conor galladog its embarrassing….cech is like lampard 2 legends who i can care less about what they do outside the pitch cause they probably trash at it…lampard as a coach and cech as a board member bro this isnt lala land and fairytales we need ppl who know things like how to discover haaland…paul winstanley and Laurence stewart has put us in position to be banging on the door of top 4 and poch is making a mockery of me…yeah whatever bro ✌

  13. @sterny_sw6

YOUNNES not sure but u may have confused the “POT” match ups…..! Every team will play 2 teams from each of the pots hence 8 games. Some yes we will still have a Real Madrid vs Sofia
