these guys are so finkin biased. bayern would murder arsenal next game. Arsenal is doing well in the EPL suddenly they are Champions League winners. Why don't you talk about Bayern's penalty?

I must be going mad. So many people saying it's not a penalty. Ridiculous. Saka had to leap past Neuer and it's nowhere near clear enough that he purposefully 'left his leg' in to initiate contact. Even if he did, it's still a pen as Neuer moves his legs forward to obstruct his path to the ball, which would have pretty much been an open goal. Very very harsh against Arsenal.

I’m an Arsenal fan and I put money on for Kane to score with a penalty. It’s basically what he does. He will score a penalty in the next leg. 12 games straight he scored a penalty against arsenal

That was a penalty for sure, you are all delusional. They give those all the time but God forbid Arsenal gets it. Saka's leg was hooked and he was brought down. Bayern deserved way more yellows too. The ref blew the final whistle and ran off the field because he knew he was gonna get an ear-full from the players.

Amazing take but that’s a penalty any day. If Bayern had that, it would have been given. I guess the ref didn’t give it because he had an issue with not giving one to Bayern earlier.

Kiwior was not the right man for this game. He is too slow to handle Sane….if only Tomiyasu was available. Kiwior should not have let Sane get past him but if he was smart he should have fouled him atleast to allow the players to recover. Both goals were avoidable for sure

I will declare my arsenal bias upfront here, but I think it should be a pen on Saka. Neuer did not play the ball and made enough contact with Saka to trip him, the only argument is whether Saka created contact by simulation. Therefore, in order to not give the pen you need to be certain enough that it was simulation to give a yellow card to Saka. I would argue Sakas movement is not an unnatural movement: imo by pushing his right leg forward he is trying to turn his body to shield the ball from defenders and angle a left footed shot into far corner (note it is also much more common in simulation to simply “drag your feet” as this maximises the chance of contact). Also consider that in this instance, it doesn’t make sense to dive since he has control of the ball and has the chance to get a shot off fairly AND/OR win a pen if fouled, whereas diving just gives you the chance of winning a pen if the ref agrees. If you think it shouldn’t be a penalty my question to you is what movement of saka is natural and would warrant a penalty here? I think it’s clear that if Saka appeared to run in a “more normal” path, Neuer will still trip him and no one would have a problem with the penalty, or does Saka need to try and avoid Neuer? This seems unfair.

Astonishing that you with your pro England focus does not even mention the scandal with the not given handball penalty for Bayern. Is it a coincidence? I don't believe so.

if Kane was clipped like that it would've been a penalty and a red card come on. but yeah saka left his leg there. It's still a foul on nueur he recklessy slid in. Saka was in posession of the ball. whatever the game was great. more please. kane is a goal. saliba is amazing.

It was a clear, stone-cold pen for Arsenal! If you watched the replay in different angles, Saka did not move his right leg in the motion and Neur moved himself forwards to stop him scoring an open goal. It was a clear pen! Saka attempted to go around the keeper, a penalty any day of the week!
