Yh I’ve had a stinker there with the Arsenal v Bayern game, but at least Barca, City and Dortmund deserve props from how they did away from home 😂
Home advantage is very real. And both sides will get it. So its already fair. If Man City can score 3 goals away, they should be able to score more at home.
They both have to play home and away so still a dumb rule
Best thing dat 's happened to football is scrapping d away goals. I come to ur house i score a goal and u couldn't score in ur own house. Then we play 2:3 in my house to av a tie and u tell me to kick rocks?! It was unfair, doesn't show sportsmanship and illogical.
Na na na bro
That rule should be how it is RN
Arsenal was in london and there were no bayern ultras😂
No
💀💀shush
😂😂arsenal played at Emirates
Bro your an Arsenal fan
Away Goals is stupid. You fought hard to score three goals at Bernabeu? Real will fight hard to score in Manchester
You are right. They should bring it back.
arsenal vs bayern, bayern fans werent allowed in the arsenal stadium, it was full of 60k arsenal fans😐
Shite take
😢😢😢😢😢😢 no that was a terrible idea
Completely disagree
The away goal rule was created to make the away teams take more risk, Barca, arsenal and man city a all favorite in their games because winning at home is much easier then away and have been well rewarded
No cause some teams play defensively so its unfair of them if they dont try and score as many goals
I get so annoyed when people assume that for a game of football to be entertaining, goals are needed. Often the highest quality games are when the defenses are solid and not leaky making the match of more of an unattainable standard which should be entertaining in its own right.
The home advantage isn’t a bad thing, it’s a good thing. Each team has it (except for plastic clubs) and sometimes opponents will get affected by it, but now with the amount we’re spending on these players and how much they’re earning the level of professionalism is the highest of any sport. So this means that even though the atmosphere is terrifying the main focus should always be on the ball. No the away goal rule shouldn’t come back, it ruins the game
No
Oh man Shut up
L take. Heartbreak for games that end in a tie
As a city fan
I hate away goals rule after Tottenham and monaco
I think extra time should be a thing but no penalty’s.so it’s not to unfair
This rule made a lot of iconic moments but bro we can't get those kind of stress back.
In the second leg the away team could have 120minutes to get an awaygoal and thats not fair. Other team only got 90min in first leg
Yeah or just make the finals a single leg
The format right now is good, the away goals rule sucked.
What is bro on about?? If away goal rule existed we wouldn't have seen these scorelines in the first place.
The second leg wpuld be park the bus 0-0 and we wpuld all fall asleep if the away gapl rule existed
Extra time > away goals
I totally agree with you…
No
Keep it like this for the 2020s for the 2030s bring it back then we’ll see what happens
True, a higher level of football would be played defensively as people would know that they can't concede too much at home which would in turn keep the level of football always high
If we’re arguing about home advantage, both team gets that in turns. So it’s not really not fair if you think about it.
Frimpong is having the time of his life
Brainless take
No way, we'd have less spectacle
Nah
People forget there were so many goals because the rule was taken away…if the rule stayed, home teams would play a caged setup which would result in less goals Scored.
This guy has very little ball knowledge coming here to say he wants the away goals rule. I mean, how stupid was that rule to be added in the first place 😂
I don’t understand
Both teams plays Home and Away, so it’s not unfair lol
I am neutral, cuz i hated the away goal rule when it was around and i hate it when it is no more around😂😂 basically, my perspective changes year on year based on whether its presence could have been beneficial to the club i support. So, no hard feelings for its absence
