I don’t get why Saudi can’t be a big league. I like what Cristiano and Leo are doing . They both went to different parts of the world where football has to grow and it’s becoming more popular in this areas.

Any player who doesn't go to Saudi Arabia to make money to me are absolutely daft ,people say trophies come first ,nope money comes first and always will do
If a player is getting payed £100000 a week in the Premier league but is offered £300000 a week, where do you think he'll want to go ,just like anybody if your offered 3 /4 times more than you already get would you stay

Long time Arsenal and Barça fan here that loved watching Thierry Henry plays football ⚽️

Hearing this now assures me to distinguish between the players abilities on the field and their actual personalities outside the field.

I no longer respect this human being!

I don’t know why it’s a fear. Football is a global product players can play where they want. European football will always have a high standing as many players will develop and start their careers there it is logical because Europe is made up of so many countries and high population.
If those players choose to go Saudi later then so be it but we have to respect its a global product. Your biggest asset is the fans and European fans are tough to beat.
Premiership did the same thing. Initially getting players at the end of their careers like Gullit, Klinsmann, Zola and then transitioned to having more money and spending power. Everyone accepted it so why can’t we accept this?

Europe has no threat from saudi, they take player who lack motivation to top level football, so that means europe loses nothing if they let those players go, moreover saudi has no academy players, no infrastructure or football culture to develop young players so in couple of years, these players will leave and saudi league will be back to square 1 like it happened in china and US.

Europe is just selfish. Let every other league in the world get competitive and get better and may be 40-50 years down the line, we can have something like competitive Universal Champions League where the whole world will be involved. Football is one of a kind sport which most of the countries play and can get better at it.

why not just respect Saudis religion and beliefs. the whole agenda against the Saudi league is nothing to do with money its the fact its a Muslim country and they cant take they don't follow the west. so what if they don't accept lgbt that's their country and beliefs, respect it. they don't tell what the west to do. and people live a much better life in the middle east than the west, theyre not always depressed like the uk. also the premier league is literally the same, they take players from different leagues by giving so much money and now they cant accept a league has so much more money than them lol

I think Europe needs to stop with the "itl be a sad day" etc. Players are all for the money these days. They're pretty much just independent contractors. Football is more of a business than a sport these days. But it's not Saudi who have put those norms in place. Its the premier league. The sky money etc turned the Premier league into the money driven world it is now. Saudi just playing by the same rules but they've got more money

Titi your a great man but i have to disagree with human rights statement. All the countries you have played in have persucated people who look like you and me. You should have never played with the French team to this day they destroying Africa. Were is your stand with your ancestors.

I see all positives, as much European football the most likeable, it doesn't nessesarly mean European football is the one and only thing in the world nor the only culture the wold should adopt. Other continents and countires should promote their football and culture. SaudiPro league probably need to be promoted as they spent a lot of time for football.
