Thierry is both right and wrong,, over the course of the season Arsenal have displayed an extra ordinary level of calmness and maturity never seen arguably since the invincibles Era, scoring goals, controlling games however you also have to admit that in the last 2 games instances of emotional play by 2 of our senior players cost us games,,, we got early strong leads in both games and players seem to have got emotionally gleeful or rather on cloud nine ending up making errors,, am talking of xhaka thinking the games wrapped up rather than humbling down and avoiding much unneeded drama and Partey feeling everything is done and rather than keeping it simple with clean passes he starts flicking the ball in an area close to our box. If Thierry means the last 2 games the he is damn right.

Composure, calmness is required from the manager and the lads despite the intense pressure from all over. Arteta and his staff have done a good job to work on the psychological aspects of the team, that is y we r here against so many odds. They need to b reminded of how good they have been under pressure whole season. This part of the season requires a lot of mental toughness. Something deep inside tells me, that team despite the lack of experience can still gone on and win the title.

That next City-Arsenal matchup is going to be huge. As I’ve said for months, once Arsenal beat them H2H I’ll believe in them. Dropping points recently isn’t boding well but I hope we get a classic like the City-Liverpool matchups from the past few years.

Think the issue here is that it’s not clear what Henry’s definition of ‘emotions’ or ‘being emotional’ is. Therefore it’s hard to know what to make of his opinion. That said I sense there is some validity to his understanding that a league season of 38 games is a different beast to a cup tournament. It’s a marathon that lasts almost a year in terms of games played.

IMO the prescription in context now is not for the AFC squad to suddenly become “stoic” and “unemotional”. Yes don’t make rash decisions such as lunging in, pressing alone, hitting out at the opponent out of red mist. But IMO the AFC lads need to feel it, learn it. If not now when they’re a young squad then when? Trust the process and not try to skip ahead a step.

IMO the issue post Liverpool, West Ham isn’t the pressure narrative, nor is it being “too emotional”. It’s focus, leadership and the capability to keep going for at least 80 mins, if not the full 90+. The defence is atm quite weak and the team can’t afford to sit deep and defend. Offense is the best defense. Focus by the players to keep pushing. Leadership to organise and inspire. Capability in terms of stamina, concentration, helping each other but also not forsaking one’s area on the pitch, MA using his tactical decisions to help the players.

As Henry said, the title race is not over. If City want the Prem, they have to win it. Simple as that. If they do, then kudos to them.

Arsenal were near perfect when they went unbeaten. This young team is 1 point behind the invincibles at this stage of the season, which demonstrates how good this young team is and what they've achieved.

I think jesus will be the key in the city game, with him especially against his old team, i think if the rest of the team just stay composed arsenal can pull an upset over city led by jesus.
