If Bayern are overrated I think Gareth Southgate is the most overrated coach on the planet and the England national team has been the most underrated and under achieving team in the football world.

As a barca fan, please tell me where other barca fans are expecting us to WIN the champions league?!?💀 feel like these dudes are just straight up lying about our fanbase. I’m just happy if we get out of the group, and i’d say we’re expected to challenge for the league again but everywhere i’ve seen everyone has real madrid as favorites or even atletico ahead of us.

As a barca fan, quarter finals is being hopefull. Barca fans aren't delusional, we know the team isn't what it was but we remain optimistic. Btw i think man utd fans and chelsea fans are the most delusional. .

you guys dont even know what barca fandom thinks. No one with a sane mind thinks barca can win or barca should win. reaching the quaters and maybe the semis is the goal. i dont know which barca fan accounts you follow but belive me they are not the sane ones

I don’t think the atmosphere argument can work in European competitions, every fanbase is going to make as big an atmosphere as possible everyone’s proud to be in Europe

Really love this show. Team talk is by far my fav show of football daily.
But I think in PSG group the English bias was evident. Newcastle have no experience in champions for so many years. Talking about atmosphere dortmund have one of the best atmosphere in european game. They have a better side than newcastle. Callum wilson starting for dortmund is funny. I also believe dortmund has more talent upfront.

given how hard it is to win another Champions, I thought Madrid would win but now they are structurally vulnerable, Militao and Courtois's injury, not backing up RB and while they don't need Mbappe, he would've made the difference to counter for the back line problems, one injury there and they are fucked.

is anyone else tired of arguments based on "experience"? it feels more narrative based than anything else

It's not like managing in the Champions League (for example) is some esoteric task and we can't reason about an individual's ability to perform even without evidence of them participating directly in it. The point feels so safe you can't really debate against it because it's ultimately meaningless

Think of Barca as a second-tier team that is very hard to beat, especially in defense, like Inter, and Atletico, they reach the final like that, except they have players that could make the difference and win it, kind of like Chelsea won, tho Chelsea had no business winning it, also Xavi have proven to know how to win particularly hard games, only injuries fucked him. All attacking players performed well in international break.
